News update

“From sources near the British Parliament”, say the leaders of EveryOne, “but not officially confirmed, it seems Mehdi may be flown back to the United Kingdom on Monday morning, pending questioning by a judge. But for the moment nothing has been confirmed and it is too soon to speak of a victory."

He is in the Dutch detention centre of Zestienhoven, at Rotterdam airport. He may be allowed to remain in the Netherlands, according to the Dublin Regulation which regulates requests for asylum. Representatives from Gay Asylum UK are supporting him and his UK-based uncle. He is on hunger strike and suicide watch.
